Ms. Lujan joined the Nordhaus Law Firm in April, 2002.
During law school, Ms. Lujan clerked with the Nordhaus Law Firm for two summers. She
also interned with the Public Defender's Office in Oklahoma County during her last
year of law school. Prior to joining the Nordhaus Law Firm, Ms. Lujan gained
extensive trial experience serving the public sector.
Upon graduation from law school, she accepted a
position to serve as an Assistant Public Defender for Oklahoma County. As an
Assistant Public Defender she was court-appointed to represent indigent clients in
all aspects of the criminal trial process. She conducted a number of jury trials in
which she was appointed to defend individuals charged with felony crimes including
white collar, property and violent offenses.
In 2001, Ms. Lujan was asked to serve as an Assistant
District Attorney for Oklahoma County. During her service as an Assistant District
Attorney, Ms. Lujan had the opportunity to represent the citizens of the State of
Oklahoma in the prosecution of numerous criminal cases including juvenile,
misdemeanor and felony offenses. She was responsible for daily court appearances to
conduct hearings and jury trials.
